EO100™ Year in Review: Certifications, Re-Verifications, and Assessment Bodies

It has been quite the year for Equitable Origin and the EO100™ program! 2022 has been pivotal in the addition of a number of EO100™ Certified sites, as well as those that have had their status re-verified. In addition, Equitable Origin has continued to bring on new assessment bodies, while some have also expanded their footprint through the expansion of EO100™ Certified assessors amongst their teams. These achievements going into 2023 have translated to Equitable Origin certifying 15 sites covering over 12 bcf per day of natural gas, and more than 12% of the natural gas produced in North America. Summarized here, is a list of these accomplishments:

New EO100™ Certified Sites

A total of 7 new sites from 5 operators have been EO100™ Certified as of the start of 2023.

  • Chesapeake Energy – Marcellus Acquired operations, EO100™ Certified: December 2022
  • Hammerhead Resources – Gold Creek and Karr assets, EO100™ Certified: December 2022
  • Equinor ASA – Appalachian Basin of Ohio operations, EO100™ Certified: September 2022
  • Crew Energy – Northeast BC Development operations, EO100™ Certified: August 2022
  • Chesapeake Energy – Marcellus Shale operations, EO100™ Certified: June 2022
  • ARC Resources – Greater Dawson & Sunrise assets, EO100™ Certified: April 2022

Re-Verified EO100™ Sites

A total of 8 sites from 8 operators have had their EO100™ Certificate Re-Verified for the 2022-23 cycle.

  • Pipestone Energy – Montney Development site, EO100™ Certificate Re-Verified: December 2022
  • EQT – Greene and Washington Counties operations, EO100™ Certificate Re-Verified: November 2022
  • Northeast Natural Energy – Monongalia County operations, EO100™ Certificate Re-Verified: November 2022
  • Vermillion Energy – West Pembina site, EO100™ Certificate Re-Verified: October 2022
  • Pacific Canbriam Energy – Northeast British Columbia Montney project, EO100™ Certificate Re-Verified: July 2022

New & Expanded Assessment Bodies

A total of 4 assessment bodies have been trained and on-boarded, while two assessment bodies have increased the size of their teams. There are currently 64 approved assessors from 12 different assessment bodies across the United States and Canada that are associated with Equitable Origin and the EO100™ program, going into 2023.
