Exciting Updates on the EO100 Supplements for Wind and Solar

It has been a busy and productive few months for the EO100 Standard in the renewables space, and we are excited to share a few highlights!

Since publishing the EO100 Supplements for Wind and Solar in August 2024, the EO team has been actively raising awareness and building momentum. We have participated in key industry events such as REM 2024 in Denver and the Making Energy Work Conference in Raleigh, NC. In February, Kaki Comer, EO’s Standards Development Manager, had the honor of speaking at the first-ever I-REC Day Mexico in Mexico City, where she joined a panel with S&P Global and STX to explore the future of I-REC certificates in Mexico.

Finally, we were thrilled to join the World Economic Forum’s Responsible Renewables Infrastructure Initiative’s Community Meeting on May 6th, contributing to efforts that advance responsible deployment globally and prioritize both people and the planet.

During these events, we have been able to attract more interest for the framework and highlight how EO100’s ESG certification supports sustainability compliance while boosting social and environmental accountability in renewable energy projects.

Other exciting developments include:

While interest is growing, we are still looking for pilot sites for certification of wind or solar projects. If you know of a project, event, or partnership opportunity that aligns with our mission, please reach out to Kaki Comer.

Let’s keep advocating for responsible, sustainable and renewable energy.
