Hannah Stutzman

Board Chair

Hannah Stutzman is an independent environmental expert with extensive experience in tropical forest conservation, socio-environmental issues in the Amazon, and organizational management. She served as Executive Director of the Amazon Conservation Association (ACA) from 2014-2018, a non-profit organization that unites science, innovation, and community to protect the greatest wild forests on Earth. In that role, Hannah provided overall leadership and management, led fundraising, and coordinated collaborative efforts with ACA’s sister organizations in Peru and Bolivia as well as with external partners and stakeholders. Previously, Hannah served as ACA’s Director of Programs, coordinating development and funding of landscape-scale conservation strategies in the Andes-Amazon. Hannah has also worked on conservation, sustainable development, and cultural issues with major NGOs in the US and Latin America, including Conservation International-Colombia and the Colombian Ministry of Culture. Hannah has a Master’s of Environmental Management from Yale University and a BA in Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College.
